1. Who we are

AthltIQ is operated by AthltIQ (“we”, “us”, “our”). References to the “Platform” include our website, applications and related services.

2. Eligibility & accounts

• You must be at least 16 to create your own account. Athletes under 18 must be registered and managed by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on the young person’s behalf.
• Coaches and scouts register to discover and contact athletes. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your profile up to date. Impersonating another person or organisation is not permitted.

3. Safeguarding & under-18s

• Protecting young people is central to AthltIQ. Profiles of athletes aged 18 and under are only visible to coaches and scouts who have completed the required checks, including a verified DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate where applicable.
• A parent or guardian must provide consent for an under-18 athlete’s participation, and remains responsible for the young person’s use of the Platform.
• We may remove content or restrict access at any time to protect the safety of users, particularly minors.

4. Your content

• You retain ownership of the profile information, photos, videos and other content you upload (“Your Content”).
• You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display and share Your Content on the Platform for the purpose of operating the service — for example, showing your profile to relevant coaches and scouts.
• You confirm that you have the rights to the content you upload and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights or any law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• post false, misleading, offensive, discriminatory or unlawful content;
• harass, abuse, or attempt to contact any user outside the intended, safeguarded channels;
• attempt to access accounts or data you are not authorised to access, or disrupt the Platform’s operation;
• use the Platform for any commercial purpose other than legitimate athlete recruitment.

6. Coaches & scouts

Coaches and scouts must use athlete information solely for genuine recruitment and talent-identification purposes, must respect safeguarding requirements, and must not share athlete data with third parties without a lawful basis.

7. No guarantee

AthltIQ is a platform for visibility and connection. We do not guarantee that using it will lead to a trial, contract, selection or any particular outcome, and we are not a party to any agreement you reach with a club, coach or scout.

8. Suspension & termination

We may suspend, restrict or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if your conduct puts other users at risk, or as required by law. You may close your account at any time from your settings.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided “as is”. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the conduct of other users. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date, and where changes are significant we will take reasonable steps to let you know.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
